BABY SESSION INFORMATION

 

Thank you for your interest in my baby photography sessions.

It’s hard to believe the ways in which your baby grows in the first twelve months of their life. Your tiny newborn has blossomed, and their little personality is emerging.

Gorgeous photos of your baby are the perfect way to ensure your feelings during this time of amazing growth are remembered forever.

A baby photography shoot is for your 6-12 month old… a delightful age where sitting, clapping and giggling make it easy to capture all the fun they bring to your life.

STEP 1: SCHEDULING YOUR SESSION

 

In order to reserve your session date, a session fee of $50 applies. If we haven’t already, the easiest way to compare calendars is for you to contact me here, or call me with a few dates that work for your family. Alternatively, simply use the form at the bottom of this page to reserve your session and I’ll soon be in contact to discuss dates and finalise your booking.

As you pull out your calendar, here are a few things to consider:

  • Baby sessions are for your 6-12 month old… a delightful age where sitting, clapping and giggling make it easy to capture all the fun they bring to your life. As I often book-out many months in advance, I encourage you to book well ahead of time to avoid missing out. Please don’t hesitate to contact me anytime however, as I may still have availability.
  • Baby sessions are held in my large custom-designed studio. The studio has gorgeous boho vibes and a relaxed natural setting – located on 20 beautiful acres with river frontage and lake.
  • If you would prefer an outdoor family session, please see my ‘Family Information Guide‘ for details regarding outdoor sessions. Outdoor sessions are held around golden hour (the hour before sunset) to take advantage of the softer, warm light.
  • Professional makeup add-on available from The Makeup Haven by Katie ($120).

Your total package price = session fee + your chosen collection.

STEP 2: THE SESSION ITSELF

 

Once we’ve decided on a time and date and officially put your session on the books, I’ll send you a prep guide that will walk you through everything from choosing outfits (I also have gorgeous dresses available for you to choose from) to strategies for getting siblings to cooperate. That guide has been created and refined over years of experience, so it typically answers 90% of the questions that come up, but I’m always happy to set up a time to chat if you want additional help.

A few days before our session is scheduled, I’ll reach out to confirm the date and time… at that point, if someone seems to be coming down with the flu, we can talk about our rescheduling options. Otherwise, that’s the perfect time to ask any last-minute questions regarding the session.

The day of the session, please block off 1.5 – 2 hours (Typically we’re done within 60 minutes or so, but I don’t charge by the hour, so if there’s some kind of wardrobe malfunction or child meltdown, I like to stay flexible). If a parent has to leave for an important business meeting but the rest of the family is still available, that’s fine… just let me know ahead of time so I can focus on getting that parent in the frame more while they’re still available.

Finally, take a breath and relax… As I work to artistically capture your babies unique personality, I promise to make it as painless as possible for everyone involved. If it would ease tensions for Dad to crack open a beer on arrival – well then I say go for it!

STEP 3: THE FUN PART!

 

Within just a couple of weeks of your session, you’ll receive an email from me letting you know that your photos are ready. Once you’ve had a chance to see them and marvel for a bit, you’ll let me know which collection you want to purchase. After that, you’ll have a full month to select the specific digital files and print items you want to use to fill that collection… zero pressure! If you’re like me and like to see and feel things like album covers and paper types in person, I have samples of all the physical products I offer at my studio. Geeking out over paper types and wall galleries is honestly one of my favourite parts of the job!

PAYMENT PLANS

Interest free payment plans are available for your collections*. They are easy to set-up, and the payments are debited automatically from your nominated bank account either weekly, fortnightly or monthly (the choice is yours!)

Your payment plan is required to be finalised prior to your session date, and as such are perfect if you book your session well in advance. If you choose to pay for the basic collection via payment plan, you can of course upgrade your collection after viewing your gallery of images if you so choose.

What you’re going to do with your images is perhaps the most important aspect to consider when you’re planning for a photo session, but it’s all too often the aspect that’s overlooked… all that time and money invested deserve a better return than photos gathering dust on a hard drive somewhere. You’ll never get the same feeling looking at your photos on a screen as you will seeing them on your wall or flipping through the pages of an album, so I include a substantial print credit with every collection. MASTER FINE ART PRINTS

PORTFOLIO BOX + USB

Our Master fine art prints are pretty special! We use Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper, one of the world’s most popular museum grade papers. This white cotton artist’s paper, with its characteristic soft feel, boasts a lightly defined felt structure, lending each artwork a three-dimensional appearance and impressive pictorial depth.

Our Portfolio presentation boxes are handmade with a luxurious linen wrapped finish. Each box includes a COMPLETE set of 5x7” Master Fine Art Prints from your gallery of images (30 prints minimum), of which 5 are matted in 8x10” frame mounts, ready for display. A separate compartment holds a USB with all of your selected high-res photos for safe keeping.

PREMIUM ALBUMS

MONTAGE FRAMES

Beautiful, handcrafted layflat albums with premium leather or linen covers. Each album is printed on archival acid-free fine art matte paper designed to comply with the highest lifespan requirements. The album pages are 2.5mm thick and include 10 spreads (20 pages). Additional spreads (1 spread = 2 pages) can be added for $33 each (max of 30 spreads).

Montage Frames allow you to easily create frames that hold a collection of your favourite images. The frames come with a mat overlay, and are available in a variety of different montage layouts and frame moulding colours.

CINEMATIC VIDEO

Photography sessions are perfect for capturing precious moments in time and preserving your memories forever; however video can say even more. Professional videography has the ability to capture the raw, emotional moments like no other medium.

Videography can be arranged as a stand-alone session, or as an add-on to any photography session with Kristielle Amy – Kristielle works her magic with the camera whilst the video is captured by a videographer.

Cinematic Video*:

  • As a photography session add-on: $1197

*Cinematic Videos are set to music (only selected from Epidemicsound.com due to copyright licensing laws) and are typically 2-3 minutes in duration. Payment plans are available for videography - all video packages are to be paid in full prior to the session.
